The Forklift Mechanic is responsible for periodic maintenance, repair and troubleshooting on various models of material handling equipment. RESPONSIBILITIES: Able to repair or replace minor and major system components, including electrical parts hydraulics, mechanical, L.P. systems, power steering, transmissions and engines. Troubleshoot forklift related issues.Perform proper preventative maintenance (PMs) in a timely manner.Service and repair other miscellaneous types of equipment including electric carts, trailers and yard equipment. REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS: High School diploma or GED equivalent is requiredMinimum 3 years’ experience as a Forklift MechanicMust be willing to work 1st shiftMust pass pre-employment tests including a drug screen, background check, physical, Functional Capacity & Respirator examsJob requires frequent reaching above shoulders, stooping, kneeling, and/or crouchingMust be capable of lifting and/or moving up to 50 poundsAble to read and understand electrical and hydraulic system schematicsAbility to work in a team environment
