Perform all operational tasks safely in the production environment.
Develop a thorough understanding of forming machine operations and glass making process validated by a series of written, oral interview, and on-machine testing assessments.
Discipline to perform tasks as defined by Libbey standards to reduce variation in all processes.
Develop and apply a disciplined approach to problem solving to drive continual improvement within all processes.
Develop an understanding and apply LEAN manufacturing methodology to drive continuous improvement in glass quality, cost reduction, and on time delivery to our customers.
Display behaviors, sound judgement, and professionalism consistent with Libbey’s Values and contribute to a culture bases on Teamwork and Continuous Improvement.

Requirements:

Successfully pass computerized assessments consisting of math, mechanical, reading, and problem-solving skills.
Satisfactorily complete job specific physical for position.
Work in glass production area safely with associated personal protection equipment (PPE)
Able to demonstrate ability to use mechanical tools in/around stationery and moving equipment.
Successfully pass a series of written, oral, and on-machine assessments during training program.
Able to work any shift, perform heavy lifting, and work in and around extreme heat.
Career position with a four (4) year minimum commitment to department.
Must have good attendance record.
Must interview for this position.
High School Diploma or GED.
