Libbey is hiring a dynamic Electrical Engineer II who will be primarily responsible for the electrical design of machine controls and systems. Typical assignments will support existing glass forming equipment as well as development of innovative controls automation solutions.
This individual must be a team player with the ability to effectively manage and supervise multiple projects, have strong problem-solving skills, and possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Developing prototype control designs using engineering experience, skills, analysis and calculations.
- CAD design of new projects and redesign of existing projects
- Design of new and revised controls components and assemblies
- Controls programming, checkout, debug, commissioning, and training of implemented systems
- Maintenance of legacy control drawings
- Equipment selection for control systems
- Specification and integration of commercial equipment
- Produce engineering documentation per standards including details & assembly drawings
- Provide troubleshooting support for manufacturing facilities
REQUIREMENTS
- BSEE or BSET degree required
- Experience: minimum 3 years of design and field experience
- Strong CAD skills: AutoCAD experience preferred
- Strong electrical aptitude, hands on experience preferred
- Knowledge of Rockwell PAC’s, PLC’s, Drives, and Motion preferred
- Knowledge of Siemens PLC’s, Drives, and Motion desirable
- Knowledge of automation components
- Familiarity of basic Networking concepts desirable
- Knowledge of PID loops desirable
- Knowledge of NEC, UL, and NFPA
- Proficient PC skills in a Windows environment using MS Office suite of tools
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment exposed to heat, noise, and heights while utilizing required PPE
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
- Domestic and international travel, up to 15%
