Libbey is actively seeking a Demand Planning Manager to join our Supply Chain planning team. The Demand Planning Manager will report to the Director of Materials Planning, and has overall responsibility for the quality of the demand planning process, and the quality of resultant numbers. This person will manage key forecasting and demand planning processes in conjunction with Commercial Sales, Marketing, Finance and other related functions within Supply Chain, ensuring delivery of set goals for forecast accuracy and financial targets by minimizing inaccuracies and bias. This is a leadership role, requiring the ability to multi-task, remain highly organized and thrive in a deadline-driven environment.

The Demand Planning Manager will develop and employ best in class platforms, processes and methodologies. The position is responsible for alignment of Libbey’s business plans and SKU level demand signals. This includes high level planning through our Sales and Operations Planning processes, as well as detail planning in the form of SKU level unit forecasts by utilizing ABC/XYZ methodologies. The successful candidate will have a high attention to detail, be committed to follow through and have a creative, analytical and resourceful mindset.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead, coach, mentor and develop the demand planning team of 4 associates
  • Utilize statistical forecasting applications to analyze and recalibrate the SKU forecasts used in the planning & execution of product supply, to effectively serve our customer base
  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Supply Planning, to manage forecasted demand at SKU and facility level
  • Collaborate with our Commercial functions to identify continuous improvement opportunities and resolve root causes to forecast variances
  • Apply ABC-XYZ methodology to enhance demand segmentation, driving more accurate forecasts, improved service levels, and reduced excess inventory
  • Collaborate, lead and facilitate the demand segment of the Sales & Operations Planning process
    • Maintain necessary inputs to the monthly Sales & Operations Planning models and process
    • Manage and facilitate cross functional discussions to validate and ensure data integrity
    • Prepare monthly presentation material
  • Provide direction in best methodology for optimal data platforms and forecasting techniques
  • Provide assistance in compiling forecast details for annual business budgets and long-range planning
  • Cross-border collaboration with LATAM Demand Planning team to unify demand signals by channel


REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma, or equivalent, required
  • Bachelor's Degree, or demonstrated successful equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of supply chain operations experience, preferably in demand planning
  • 1-3 years people leadership experience in a related business function
  • APICS and/or IBF certification preferred
  • Solid understanding and knowledge of supply chain best practices in demand, supply and inventory methodologies
  • Strong working knowledge of ERP systems within the supply chain functions
  • Ability to work and communicate collaboratively and effectively with others – solid written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven high level of proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power-Point)
  • Hybrid work flexibility: must be in office 3 days/week and ability to work remote 2 days/week
  • Ability to travel as needed
