OVERVIEW
The Forklift Mechanic is responsible for periodic maintenance, repair and troubleshooting on various models of material handling equipment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Able to repair or replace minor and major system components, including electrical parts hydraulics, mechanical, L.P. systems, power steering, transmissions and engines.
Troubleshoot forklift related issues.
Perform proper preventative maintenance (PMs) in a timely manner.
Service and repair other miscellaneous types of equipment including electric carts, trailers and yard equipment.

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS

High School diploma or GED equivalent is required
Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Forklift Mechanic
Must be willing to work 1^st shift
Must pass pre-employment tests including a drug screen, background check, physical, Functional Capacity & Respirator exams
Job requires frequent reaching above shoulders, stooping, kneeling, and/or crouching
Must be capable of lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds
Able to read and understand electrical and hydraulic system schematics
Ability to work in a team environment
