SummaryThe position is responsible for wiring electrical systems on machine, terminating panel for blueprint. Their duties include communicating with clients to establish job details, reviewing electrical blueprints to identify wiring circuits, and coordinating with team members to install items at Glassline Corporation. Upgrading machines with old control systems up to the new machine specifications and calibrating machines at Glassline or customer facilities. Therefore, the individual is expected to have a professional demeanor and good communication skills for Customer interaction. The position requires approx.. 20-30% travel, of typically short durations of 1 day to 1-2 weeks.Essential Functions- Inspect electrical components, including transformers and circuit breakers- Understand and apply blueprints and technical diagrams- Use testing devices to identify and report electrical problems- Use hand and power tools- Adhere to state and local building regulations and follow safety procedures.- Complete work orders on time- Create records of materials used- Set up and test computer systems by running cables and connecting computer jacks and plugs- Installs, repairs, and maintains the electrical parts of the industrial equipment.- Works individually or part of the team to successfully complete projects.Competencies- Understand and apply blueprints and technical diagrams- Understanding of machine control hardware, as well as pneumatics, is a plus.- Ability to travel 25-30%- Customer interaction/communication skillsSupervisory ResponsibilityNone.Position Type and Expected Hours of WorkThis is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 6:00a.m.-4:00p.m, generally speaking. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.TravelTravel is primarily within the USA, however, international travel is sometimes required. Travel and meal expenses are paid, as well as other possible travel compensation.Required Education and Experience- Technical Degree, preferred- At least two to five years of electrician experience- This job description is not meant to be comprehensive.
