Production Trainer - Manufacturing

As a production trainer, you will train and lead a team of hard-working and talented hourly entry-level associates who produce high-quality products for our customers. In this role you will have the opportunity to enter our leader/manager in training program. This is a great opportunity to grow your skills, knowledge, and network in a fast-paced and dynamic manufacturing environment.

Schedule: Monday-Thursday 6am-5pm, occasional mandatory 6-hour shift on Fridays

Reporting: This role will report to the project engineer

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead by example and inspire your team to achieve production goals and quality standards.
  • Provide constructive feedback, coaching, and training to your team members on performance, safety, and compliance.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators, such as productivity, efficiency, quality, and safety.
  • Ensure that your team follows company policies, procedures, and regulations, as well as federal, state, and local laws.
  • Identify and resolve issues and problems that affect the operation, such as equipment malfunctions, material shortages, or quality defects.
  • Participate in and support continuous improvement initiatives and projects to improve processes, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with other shift supervisors and leaders in the plant and across the organization.
  • Must be willing to work on off shifts as needed.
  • Other duties as required or assigned.

Required Education and/or Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a leadership role.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop a diverse team of associates.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, and changing environment.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, and quality standards.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Willingness and ability to learn new skills and take on new responsibilities.
  • Flexibility to work different shifts, overtime, and weekends as needed.
  • Strong math and comprehension skills
  • Excellent work ethic and ability and interest to assume greater responsibility
