Position Summary:

Sr Maintenance Technician is responsible for the maintenance, safety, security, and operation of Directions Credit Union’s facilities. This role oversees preventative maintenance, vendor relationships, facility projects, and capital improvements while ensuring all locations remain safe, efficient and welcoming for members and employees.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the maintenance, repair, and daily operation of multiple branch and administrative facilities.
  • Must have the ability to solve problems by identifying all facility problems to locations that are assigned. Then be able to produce solutions without supervision.
  • Support preventative maintenance programs for facility equipment to ensure no gaps in efficiency and readiness.
  • Ability to be a self-starter and back up the Director of Facilities when they are not available.
  • Manage vendor coordination and contractor personnel oversight. Monitor performance of skilled trade vendor personnel.
  • Regular and independent facilities inspections/evaluations for safety, compliance, function, and presentation.
  • Familiarity with using ticketing systems and vendor portals for proper tracking and reporting.
  • Assumes responsibility for the effective performance of assigned facility maintenance functions including certain regions and locations.
  • Assist with budgets, capital planning, and asset management.
  • Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining effective communication, coordination, and working relationships with Credit Union personnel, management, vendors, and service providers.
  • Act as liaison with property managers, landlords, and service vendors, including verifying completion and quality of contracted work.
  • Assist with branch and office buildouts or renovations, including coordination of installation of equipment such as ITMs and other operational infrastructure.
  • Maintain responsibility for physical security-related functions, including access controls (badges, key cards), basic camera/system monitoring support, and coordination with internal security personnel.
