Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years in manufacturing or other fast-paced operational environment with increasing responsibilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated track record of fostering a positive work environment and driving employee growth.
  • Ability to think strategically and act proactively to address team and department needs and challenges.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Intermediate computer and technology skills

Essential Functions

    • Attendance during scheduled work hours is an essential function of the job.
      • Promote a positive work culture that values creativity, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
        • Coordinate daily production, material flow, and workflow to meet schedule, quality, and delivery requirements.
        • Provide day-to-day direction and coaching to production associates and material handlers.
        • Adjust work plans in response to changing priorities, staffing levels, or production issues.
        • Make day-to-day operational decisions regarding work assignments, staffing allocation, material flow, and production priorities within established guidelines
          • Identify and communicate scheduling risks or concerns to production leadership.
            • Prepare and maintain accurate production documentation and records.
            • Collaborate with senior leadership to align team goals with organizational objectives and implement strategies to achieve them.
            • Supports onboarding and training of new employees and reinforces standard work practices
            • Provides work direction and coordination for production associates and material handlers
            • Communicates department priorities, operational changes, and performance expectations to team members
              • Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
              • Support and participate in continuous improvement initiatives across the department and organization.
              • Support and perform other operational activities as necessary.

Supervisory Responsibility

    This position directly supervises Material Handling personnel and provides daily leadership, coordination, and work direction for the Production team.

Physical Demands Essential for Successful Job Performance

  • Able to move 30+ pounds frequently.
  • Visual acuity - able to fully view close and distant objects.
  • Ability to stand and walk for up to 10 hours per day.
  • Able to look down for extended periods of time.
  • Able to frequently stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, twist, and turn.
  • Able to safely operate motorized and manual material handling equipment.

Hours of Work

    This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week plus overtime, with a typical schedule beginning at 5:45 AM, Monday through Friday. The Production Lead is expected to support production and material handling operations, as needed, which may require working beyond the standard shift start and end-time. Overtime may be scheduled based on production needs and may include extended weekdays or rare Saturday hours.
