JOB SUMMARY & KEY OBJECTIVES:
Perform maintenance, repairs, and installation of electrical components for the Pemberville Facility.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Maintenance and installation of 240/480 – 3 phase industrial motor control systems as per NEC guidelines
  • Working knowledge of typical and specialized industrial mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems to maintain and improve operations
    • Make recommendations for outside repair assistance where necessary, define the scope, and coordinate the project
    • Enhance equipment performance by developing and installing modifications upon approval of management
    • Conduct scheduled and unscheduled equipment and facility maintenance, which includes preventive maintenance all production equipment and systems in order to keep electrical systems and equipment in good working order
    • Documentation and maintenance of electrical maintenance records in cooperation with maintenance coordinator
    • Resolve all electrical equipment performance issues and equipment malfunctions as assigned and implement appropriate modifications
  • Determine necessary parts and supplies needed to perform electrical duties and order using established purchasing practices and CMMS system
  • Work closely with Plant Manager to insure project completion and to communicate equipment or facility issues that may affect safety, quality or production
  • Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams and equipment specifications and perform functions from those documents
  • Audit electrical systems and lighting systems for safety and efficiency of cost
  • Installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of AC inverters
  • Follow all safety rules, guidelines and General Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s)
    • Maintain a safe, clean work area
    • Remain alert and observant of unsafe work areas, unsafe working conditions and/or unsafe employees and report these conditions immediately to the Plant Manager.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2 – 3 years hands on experience
  • Training in 3 Phase power distribution and control
  • Comprehension of blueprints, diagrams, and equipment specifications, and can read and understand manuals
  • Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
