Job Purpose

Dana Inc is seeking to fill a 2024 Fall Innovation & Advanced Engineering Co-Op at their Maumee World Headquarters, 3939 Technology Dr., Maumee OH. This is a great opportunity to develop your technical skills by working alongside Dana’s engineers in the completion of departmental oriented tasks/assignments.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist product and applications engineers as necessary in implementing a variety of bench testing which include (but not limited to) the following tasks:
  • Main project for Fall 2024 = a dedicated jet lubrication and cooling test bench.
    • Lead the setup, operation and evaluation
    • Data acquisition, Data post processing and
    • Correlation of Data to analytical prediction
    • Collaboration with simulation team for model refinement and improved prediction (thermal and fluid flow)
  • Perform pre and post-test inspections.
  • Write reports, include post mortem and statistical analysis of results.
  • Follow-up on sample orders.


Qualifications Desired:

  • Hands on project experience welcome: (Formular SAE, Robotics, EcoCar, …)
  • Drivetrain experience preferred.
  • Instrumentation and Data processing experience preferred.
  • Must demonstrate excellent mechanical aptitude.
  • Must be self-motivated and willing to accept responsibility

Requirements:

  • Enrollment and active pursuit of a Bachelor Science, Masters preferred
  • Strong problem solving skills, including ability to identify and resolve issues and challenges
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work with people at all levels within and outside Dana in a professional manner
