Summary

To assist with the duties of a high density storage facility that houses library items for Bowling Green State University, University of Toledo, and its Health Science Campus.

Note: This role is performed at Levis Commons in Perrysburg. Applicants must have reliable transportation.

Essential Functions

  • Operates an order picker (retrofitted fork lift) to retrieve/shelve library materials. (Training provided.)
  • Unloads and trays items for processing.
  • Creates barcodes and input/manipulate data in our automated library systems.
  • Prepares outgoing materials for delivery/unpacks incoming materials including checking in/out in computer.
  • Scans articles for interlibrary loan requests.
  • Shredding and other clerical related tasks as assigned.
  • Constructs cardboard trays.
  • Performs on-going inventory of collection.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Have dependable transportation and possess a valid driver's license.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds.
  • Ability to obtain certification to operate an order picker and work at heights up to 30 feet.
  • Familiarity with basic office equipment and computers and possess accurate keyboarding skills.
  • Ability to work in 50-60 degree temperatures year-round.
  • Possess an eye for detail.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
