Summary

Assist with preparing, microfilming, and scanning historical NW Ohio records at the Center for Archival Collections micrographics facility located at BGSU at Levis Commons in Perrysburg.

Essential Functions

  • Logs in newspapers
  • Organizes and microfilms local newspapers in accordance with supervisor's instructions and/or manual.
  • Organizes and microfilms or scans local government, church, and manuscript collections in accordance with supervisor's instructions and/or manual.
  • Performs quality control of images for accuracy and completeness.
  • Creates spreadsheets and other inventory records
  • Troubleshoots equipment and software malfunctions.
  • May assist with inventory and care of the Cochrane-Cunningham Athletic Archives
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • Requires concentration and strong attention to detail
  • Basic computer skills required and a desire to learn new skills
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds
  • Must have dependable transportation to and from BGSU at Levis Commons in Perrysburg
  • Must provide own transportation to the Preservation facility in Perrysburg, located in the BGSU at Levis Commons building.
  • Ability to work in a quiet environment
