Description

APS Medical Billing is looking for an insurance supervisor to join our medical billing management team. The Supervisor is responsible for daily supervision of employees, leadership, training and coaching.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conducts scheduled staff meetings and other activities
  • Contacts insurance companies to resolve unusual or difficult claim issues
  • Recommends and coordinates process improvement initiatives
  • Ensures team members are kept up to date on policy changes and procedure updates relating to billing policies
  • Develops staff in resolving complex billing issues and other questions
  • Conducts employee performance reviews
  • Accomplishes billing team departmental objectives by meeting expectations/goals
  • Assists department managers in planning and organizing tasks and resources
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualification Requirements

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent combination of formal training and experience
  • At least two years of supervision experience preferred or a proven track record of supervising a team to achieve results
  • Demonstrated knowledge of insurance billing, regulations and requirements
  • Strategic thinker and problem solver
  • Strong organization skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks
  • Excellent computer, verbal, written and interpersonal skills
