Position Overview

The Maintenance Technician-Facility Services is responsible for assisting the Senior Engineering Technician perform highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment. Scope of responsibility will focus on mechanical, electrical and fire suppression equipment. This position conducts all activities according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems, and processes to support the achievement of the site’s business goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Senior Engineering Technician to Install, maintain, and repair a variety of mechanical, electrical and fire suppression equipment.

• Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of facility equipment and perform scheduled and/or maintenance repairs during service.

•Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of facility equipment, scales, and fire suppression systems.

•Understand basic equipment manuals, blueprints and work orders required to perform Testing, maintenance, and service to facility equipment.

•Help diagnose problems, replace, or repair parts, test and make adjustments to facility systems.

• Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and facilities as directed by the Senior Engineering Technician.

•Maintain computerized preventative maintenance system.

•Maintain current and in-depth knowledge of all safety policies and standards related to position. Work in a safe manner and recognize unsafe situations, take appropriate action to ensure safety of self and others in building.

  • Intermediate skills in own work area within an analytical/scientific method or operational process
  • Applies experience and skills to complete assigned work within own area of expertise
  • Works within standard operation procedures and/or scientific methods
  • Works with a moderate degree of supervision

Minimum Qualifications & Skills

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required, Associate’s Degree preferred
  • 1-3 years’ relevant experience required
